Scuba and Snorkeling

Explore the breathtaking beauty of the Rainbow Reef, one of the Pacific’s most iconic underwater ecosystems, with The Island Classroom on Taveuni Island, Fiji. Known for its vibrant coral gardens and abundant marine life, the Rainbow Reef is a living testament to the wonders of biodiversity. It’s not just a place of awe-inspiring beauty—it’s a critical habitat for countless species and a natural barrier protecting coastal communities.

A student does not have to be experienced at snorkeling or diving to participate in marine activities. Through guided and supported snorkeling and scuba diving experiences, students witness the intricate interplay of marine life while learning about the environmental importance of coral reefs. As they glide through crystal-clear waters, they gain insight into how these fragile ecosystems face threats from climate change and human activities.

This unforgettable adventure combines discovery and education, inspiring students to become stewards of the ocean and advocates for sustainable practices.

We can arrange for students to obtain their PADI Open Water Certification Course.

This course is a complete 3 – 5 day comprehensive, hands-on, performance-based course designed to ensure that students become competent and safe scuba divers. The course consists of academic theory, confined water training in our 2 metre swimming pool, and four open water dives.

Upon completing the course, divers receive a license to dive that is valid for a lifetime.
